Hi everyone! I'm Raeyn; you've seen me around. I am the new Community Organizer, because uh... I'm around here a lot. *laughs* But also, I've been doing online community stuff since the mid-90s, and I'm passionate about helping people have a good time socially. :D
In that thread -- we are looking to expand the categories available to forum users. And that requires you, dear people, to tell us -- what would you like to talk about? The way we see it, forums should probably be for business, and groups for fun stuff. So -- suggestions for either/both? We'd love to do our best to build an ISG that you want to hang around in.

I'll add -- group ideas I've already got on paper to make include knitting, sewing, (stitching/embroidery separate?), clay, wood, and any other materials folx feel like they'd want to chat about with other people here.
I have more rumbling in my head but without category name suggestions so I'll come back and post those later.
These are some great ideas! So, we can have just as many groups as we like, so there's no limit to what we can set up if there is interest.
I'll say that (in my head) shop platform news might be better for here on the forums for several reasons. It's business-y, and the way the website is set up is that the forums are indexed and searchable. So important things like that are better served here.
Just thought of something I should mention! Existing forum categories can be changed - like if we want to do something different than what I set up, that is 100% an option. :-)
